Here
are answers to common questions asked about our services:
Q: Are you a telemarketing
agency?
A:
The answer's both yes and no :-) Sure, our new business services
include telemarketing to generate qualified leads and meetings,
but that's really too one-dimensional to describe our services.
As business development consultants we cover everything from
developing your proposition, researching your markets and
prospects, through to providing support for proposals and
presentations. Sometimes that means we attend face-to-face
meetings alongside you or work in an interim biz dev capacity;
mostly we work as your virtual new business team.
Q: How are you different?
A:
If you compare us to other new business agencies, the biggest
difference is the quality of our people. Whilst others typically
employ students or low-cost telemarketers, our people are
all experienced new business "hunters" with broad
sales & business development backgrounds. This means they
can engage your prospects with the same credibility as if
you were employing a senior sales or new business manager.
Q: Do you work on commission
only or pay-per-lead?
A:
No
Q:
What are your engagement models?
A:
We two models of engagement. The first is project based, either
for discrete consulting assignments or satellite new business
campaigns. The second is a retained model for ongoing new
business development.
Q: How much will it
cost?
A:
For individual consulting projects or campaigns we work on
a fixed fee basis. Our retained new business model is based
on a monthly fee plus % of upside. As a guide, a typical monthly
retainer is £2500+VAT, plus a % of new business won.
Q: Do you work from
our offices?
A:
No. All our new business consultants work from home.
Q: What client sectors
do you cover?
A:
We've worked with clients ranging from management consultants
and PR agencies through to Web 2.0 and deep technical networking
offerings. We work closely with clients to ensure enough understanding
of their proposition to correctly qualify opportunities and
position our clients with prospects.
Q: We have a complex or technical product, how can you help
us?
A:
Yes. We mainly work with companies that have complex or consultancy-wrapped
offering. Our approach is to partner with client teams, leveraging
their domain expertise with our new business capabilities.
We focus on developing the prospect relationship and managing
the opportunity through the sales process.
